Pelvic kidney

A pelvic organ meats occurs when an error receipts takes place during the ascent of the kidney in the early expansion stages, leading the organ meats to remain in the pelvis, instead of the stomach. The term that relates to the abnormal placing of the kidney is called ectopic kidney

Pelvic kidneys are often concomitant with other congenital defects such as vaginal agenesis, undescended testes, tetralogy of Fallot, spina bifida, sacral agenesis, and strabismus
